On August 12, 2009, the world-renowed Simon Fraser University Pipe Band performed at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall for a sold out audience of over 2,100 pipers, drummers, and supporters from around the world. Just three days later, the band won the World Pipe Band Championships for the sixth time, winning the overall and drum corps titles for the second year in a row.
